Harmeet Helps USA Win The Series in Every Way

Harmeet Singh played an exciting innings, scoring 34 runs from 17 balls, and then took four wickets for just 18 runs, helping the USA team secure a win in their T20I series against Canada. His impressive performance towards the end of the USA’s batting helped them reach a total of 159 runs. He almost got a hat trick twice, taking two wickets in a row in the 4th over and then two more in the 15th over, greatly affecting Canada’s chances.

Canada’s captain, Saad Bin Zafar, tried his best, taking one wicket for 21 runs in his three overs and scoring a quick 29 runs from 18 balls. Dilpreet Bajwa’s fifty runs kept Canada in the game until he got out in the 15th over, with Canada needing 68 runs from 34 balls. However, despite Zafar’s good innings, the rest of the Canadian team couldn’t perform well enough, resulting in a 14-run loss for them.

Steven Taylor is once more causing trouble for Canada during powerplay

Taylor continued his impressive form from the last game, reminding Rishiv Joshi of their tough times in recent matches. He started the innings quickly by hitting three boundaries in the first. Monank, who had scored two half-centuries in the previous games, unfortunately got out for a duck, mistiming a shot off Uday Singh’s bowling. Taylor continued to dominate Joshi, hitting a pull shot for four through square leg and then smashing a straight six over the sight screen. He didn’t slow down, hitting Zafar for a powerful shot downtown.

Canada pressured the USA before Harmeet’s amazing performance

Dillon Heyliger stopped a charging Taylor, who scored 39 runs from 24 balls, by getting him out. Then he caught the ball hit by Aaron Johnson right after the first part of the game. Jones started well with a few boundaries against Harsh Thaker but couldn’t keep going.

Corey Anderson returned to international cricket after not playing for almost 6 years. He didn’t score much, only 28 runs off 29 balls, but he showed some skill by hitting two boundaries in a row off Heyliger. Milind Kumar and Anderson couldn’t hit any boundaries for 5 overs because Nikhil Dutta and Zafar didn’t let them score freely. Milind and Anderson got out trying to score quickly, leaving the USA team struggling at 111 for 6 after 16 overs.

After taking some time to get ready, Harmeet started attacking Canada fiercely. He hit Heyliger for 16 runs in one over, including an impressive uppercut. Then he hit Thaker for more runs, including a six and a boundary. He and Shadley Van Schalkwyk scored 48 runs together in 26 balls, turning the game around for the USA team.

Harmeet flattens Canada

Harmeet caused trouble for Canada by dismissing their key batters, Aaron Johnson and Pargat Singh, who were in the same situation. Johnson misjudged Harmeet’s delivery and was out leg before wicket, while Pargat was deceived by a ball that changed direction after pitching.

Bajwa started scoring by hitting a couple of boundaries off Netravalkar’s bowling. He and Nicholas Kirton put on a 75-run partnership to help Canada recover from a shaky start at 15 for 2. They seemed to be in control of the game, with Kirton hitting a big six off Nisarg and Bajwa playing a stunning reverse sweep for a boundary. However, Taylor took a crucial wicket by dismissing Kirton with a well-timed catch. Soon after, Harmeet bowled out Bajwa and then trapped Shreyas Movva lbw on consecutive deliveries. Even though Zafar tried to keep Canada’s hopes alive with some good batting, they couldn’t avoid defeat, needing 66 runs from the last 5 overs.
