In a match that resembled a high-scoring video game more than reality, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) posted a jaw-dropping total of 277 runs against Mumbai Indians (MI). This score became the highest ever recorded in the history of the IPL! Incredibly, MI almost pulled off the unthinkable chase, eventually falling short by a mere 31 runs after putting up a valiant 246 runs on the board themselves.

The carnage didn’t stop there. After Head’s dismissal, Heinrich Klaasen took center stage. The South African wicket-keeper batsman launched a brutal assault on the MI bowling attack, peppering the boundaries with sixes. Aiden Markram ably supported Klaasen in the later overs, and the duo ensured that the scoreboard kept ticking at a rapid pace. By the end of the innings, SRH had not only surpassed the previous IPL record (263 by RCB in 2013) but had obliterated it by a massive 14 runs.
